My name is Jessica Mooney. I am currently registered dietitian for the Portland VA Health Care System in Portland, Oregon. I finished my dietetic internship and master's program in clinical nutrition at Oregon Health and Science University in June 2013. I graduated from my undergraduate at Oregon State University in 2011 with a bachelor of science in Nutrition with a minor in chemistry. So many aspects in my life have triggered my passion for nutrition. Who knew that my lifelong love of teaching, my mother living with Crohns disease, and my interest in food could all be combined into a career I am passionate to pursue. Along with my professional passions I personally enjoy travelling and experiencing new cultures. I also enjoy doing outdoorsy activities such as: hiking, camping, and boating. My professional and personal passions are what have driven me to be the person I am today. All of these experiences help me to be a more rounded professional.
